Is this soft rejected? got this message 20 minutes ago, it is in the hidden tab. The truth is i don’t know which to improve the technical part of the code or the front end of the design. because the way i remembered it themeforest hard rejects if the design is not good enough now i get a soft reject.
Im really sad about it because the message was a standard one, i have experienced several soft rejects on my previous items and its all because of missing documentation, theme check plugin error and other coding issues. So my question is is the reject a design issue cause if its design issue it would have been a hard reject.

While I’d be able to provide feedback as to how to get this approved, I can only do after it has crossed a certain threshold, quality wise. I’m sorry to say this isn’t there yet.
The whole thing does feel a little squashed together and the type very small in places
From a UX perspective it kind of irritates me to have to click the ‘watch video’ button or play button then have the video load and have to click play again. Maybe run autoplay on the videos?
While I do think it would be improved if spread out and increased a little in size, I do think a hard reject is a bit harsh
this is soft reject, you must improve and modified your theme, in my opinion usually if you have soft reject like this your theme look like similar with other theme from layout, taxonomy,menu and other or maybe you must improve a features on your theme. you must make something diferent from your theme.
after that try to upload again your theme… Good Luck
Looks like you have a problem with type size, If you want to use 10px size then make sure your letter-spacing is also set, or find a way to make the characters looks clear !
I don’t think the bold version of ‘Montserrat’ work especially with small sizes like 10px.
Generally I think you have something nice and deserve more work on it.
Thanks i’m working on a different font now, and a wider grid. Really thank you for that, what you told me was true i’ve seen the first page of the blogs on themeforest and they all have readable sized fonts. By the way can you suggest me a font that will match the design?
If we are talking about readable font especially at small sizes, then it’s not that easy to find a free one better than ‘Montserrat’ but give Source Sans Pro a try, Roboto can work well too.
Wider grid that’s a great idea, I recommend you 1170px width (bootstrap can make your life easy). or you can choose to play with full width layout with a complete pure white background that is can be a quite a challenge but your design can go with it and it will make your item stand out more.
