I am interested in a product, a WordPress Theme. It says it includes future updates, 6 months support - can extend to 12 months, etc, but it’s not been updated since 2021, and the author has not answered any enquiries - three or four attempts using various channels in past couple of months - although it says they respond within one day. I noticed recent comments on their profile asking about updates, with no response from author in past four months.

Do Envato keep inactive authors on their platform? I really like the theme and want it, but with no support or updates…

There’s a clean-up at CodeCanyon but at ThemeForest, I don’t think there’s one.
There’re some items already out-dated but you may claim the item is broken after the purchase, in case of any issues but my suggestion is to find an item that’s being updated once a year at least

Thanks for the reply. It’s such a shame as it’s the one theme I was after, c’est la vie. There is still a small hope that they may pop up…
