What is envato policy on themes which are not updated by the authors?

Hi

I have purchased a few themes, but it appears that the vast majority of them have not been updated in the past four to five years, or possibly even longer. I sent them a message, but I did not receive a response from them.

Sometimes authors just remove the theme after a few months of upload

It’s been discussed lots of time on the forum.

If you purchase the item, lets say a year ago and due to technicalities, the item doesn’t work, your options are to contact the author for the update, find freelancer to get it updated or change the item.
