Hello
I’m a new user. I want to upload a footage and after reading the forum I got to know that I have to put the envato watermark on my video. my video files are 4k with size 3840 * 2160. In order to preview and confirmation, should I primarily upload the video by the size 1920 * 1080 accompanied by the watermark and after confirmation upload the main file by the size 3480 * 2160 in my own profile without watermark?
You need to download both files at once. But the size of the preview should be 1920x1080 and not 1920x1081
oh you right, I mistyped, corrected that. Thank you
you mean, i have to upload both footages at once by the watermark in 1920 * 1080 size and without watermark in 3840 * 2160 size?
Could you help me?
@romlam
Sorry, I guess I was wrong. I found an article where it says Thumbnail and Preview File are generated automatically. I am not the author of the “Stock Footage” category so I don’t want to misinform you. In other categories, you should upload both files, but here… I’m not sure. I hope someone from the authors in the “Stock Footage” category can answer to you.
Here’s the article: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000471206-Stock-Footage-Motion-Graphics-Uploader
no need to apply watermark for new uploads, since the introduction of the new upload system many months (years?) ago.
Upload your video footage as the buyer shall receive it, the preview and thumbnail will be generated automatically.
Thanks your reply.
I was thinking the same thing at first, but this link explains that we must do it ourselves for the footage. And now I dont know exactly how to do it and by which size!
Yes, that link is wrong. Do as I say, upload your final footage for sale, the system generates the previews.
Only in case of resubmissions or edits after the first initial review you need to worry about watermarks. But don’t worry about this for now, it would just confuse you. All you have to do is upload the footage for sale. Without watermark.
