after following the whole thread this is such an amazing perfect design, but surely it is not the only solution, this shows the potential already exists in TF! so it reminds me the digitalscience comment in the first pages … the competition is a great idea, envato designers also can compete with TF talented authors so we can see a homepage representing the quality one must expect from envato!

There’s a need for everything on your list, but it’s a completely different team shape and expertise required for each.
This is sad. You have teams for things that do not need changes… Make “search” and “ratings” teams bigger, more efficient and implement the things that are needed.
Now some random dude/gal (no offence Artisticca, I really like your design) comes and just kills your design. He/She made it in a matter of days and the implementation would take a month maximum.

For once, listen to your community. We all are going after the same things - more sales and better reputation for Envato.

Great ideas.
I still think though that the welcome block is too big vertically, new files are “below the fold” in the browser, so it’s important to reduce the top section of the page. Plus I think it would be a good idea to put the marketplace logo in there, to help each marketplace standout as different. Also we could have more interesting things in the welcome, like imagine “sales graphs for the week” or “last file purchased, click to download” or “your last file sold was xxxx” It could more like an author / buyer dash board showing some quick info.
And then at the bottom, I think featured author has way too much exposure considering there are millions of authors. I would split that into two sections, featured author… and maybe something like “top selling files for the day”

Love that. Except for the circles and the top menu is a bit too big, but… hey… is ages above the current one!
