I’m an Envato Elements Author under the Graphics category, where I primarily upload Graphic Templates, Graphics, and Presentation Templates. Recently, I’ve been exploring the idea of expanding my niche into 3D items since the demand seems to be growing across platforms.
The issue is, I noticed that in my Elements dashboard, there’s no option to upload 3D items. So, I’m wondering: how do I go about this? Should I upload them to 3D Ocean first, and will they automatically sync to Envato Elements? Or is there a different process for getting access to upload 3D items directly to Elements?
Would love to hear from anyone who has experience with this or knows how it works. Thanks in advance!
You need to be approved for that category on Elements as well to be able to upload 3D items there. Meanwhile you can only upload to 3DOcean. Growing number of quality 3D items on 3DOcean increases chances to get approved at some point to upload to Elements as well.

I noticed something a bit confusing, though. I’ve seen some accounts on Envato Elements that are already uploading 3D items, but their profiles don’t show any presence on 3DOcean at all—not even a single item there. This makes me wonder: is there a different process for getting approved to upload 3D items directly on Elements?
Also, I checked the “Apply” section on Envato Elements, and there doesn’t seem to be a category for 3D available to apply for. Is this something that’s only open to select authors or handled differently?

Initial batch is selected from those who already upload to 3DOcean. There is no way to apply for the time being as they are setting it up and once forms to apply are ready they will announce it. You can read more in this post Envato's relaunched 3D category
