As some of you have noticed, Envato’s 3D category has had a major uplift recently.
From curated collections to optimized search, this category makeover is only just beginning. As we continue to grow our new 3D category, we will be calling on our Authors to help contribute to our library. Keep an eye out for an expression of interest form launching soon!
In the meantime, check out the latest article on the Author Hub to discover how and why we’re investing in 3D.
@Eduard_1337 We aren’t currently planning to add more 3D categories, but we are closely monitoring the demand for these. From our customer research over the last year, Blender emerged as the most popular category that we didn’t currently have available on Elements, and Spline has also shown rapid growth.
3D on Elements had an initial launch as part of the broader Cyber Week sale, but you will see our external marketing ramp up significantly during the first few months of 2025. As we learn more about the item types and applications that the new wave of 3D customers need, we’ll review which categories should be added next.
I’ve contacted our 3D content specialist for more information on the types of Blender projects that can be submitted - I’ll let you know when I have more details on those.
@arisgaucho The initial batch of 3D authors have been selected from existing authors who sold on 3DOcean, or who already had 3D content bundled into their other items (for example, including .OBJ items in a Graphics icon pack).
Early next year we’ll be adding the 3D category to our Elements Expression of Interest (EOI) form. Once that happens, you will be able to apply for access to upload and publish 3D files in the new category. We’re currently setting up the process for 3D portfolio review - once we’re open for new applications, we’ll be letting everyone know.
