Hi everyone, I guess many of you must have received this e-mail. Regardless of our opinion about AI, what do you think? Let it all out!
Hi Dagored,
I found your music on Audio Jungle. My name is ---------. I’ve been composing royalty free music for over a decade. I wanted to reach out about a composing opportunity.
For the past five years I’ve been working on https://soundsculpt.app , a platform that enables composers to create music that is modifiable by the consumer. The composer designs songs on our backend production site by programming how each track will behave within various musical contexts.
While AI generated music threatens to cut out musicians from the industry, Sound Sculpt leverages technology to provide a more customized experience for consumers, while including the creativity that only comes from real humans. We are committed to conserving an economy that fosters human artistry.
Our front end marketplace is in beta, with much improvement still needed. Our backend production site is still far off from beta, but at this early stage we’re looking for a few composers that would be interested in becoming alpha users.
If you became an alpha user, we would be interested in your feedback on how to improve the production experience. You would have access to design songs and contribute to the marketplace. As one of the earliest contributors you would have an advantage in selling your songs as the platform starts to take off.
Let me know if you’d be interested in trying it out, or if you have any questions.

Hi Dagored,
I appreciate your sensitivity to my identity, but I don’t at all mind you sharing this message on the forum. I’m deeply interested in how this community feels about it.
While AI generated music may compete with the stock music industry, as a composer I’m convinced that it will never be able to tap into that fountain of true inspiration that humans do when creating. I expect AI generated music will always be behind the cutting edge of creativity.
Having said that, I do see that it poses a potential threat to the stock music industry. That’s one of my drives for getting this platform going. While AI can generate static audio files, this platform enables consumers to instantly customize a track to fit their project. We aim to create an enjoyable, creative experience to quickly and effectively get a track that enhances their project. As it stands now, I don’t see any signs of AI generators being able to provide that experience.
As I mentioned, we are committed to conserving an economy that fosters human artistry. To do that, we’re leveraging the latest technologies to enable artists to create a music customization experience that AI can’t compete with.
With that in mind I genuinely welcome any feedback or ideas from this community on where they would like to see this go.
In answer to your question. I’ve sent that message to 16 people We want to start testing with a very small alpha group, so that’s why I haven’t sent it to very many.
But now that the cat’s out of the bag if anyone wants to be an alpha tester please email me at rickytheory@gmail.com

I didn’t know you were an AJ author, you could have told me! Anyway, my intent was just to get a sense of what the community thinks, regardless of how we feel about AI. You know that when emails like this come in we are often suspicious and share to better understand together. I thank you for taking action. Maybe we’ll keep in touch.

I could have been more clear in my initial message so it didn’t come off as spammy, and I totally get that Regardless I’m glad you posted on here, because I really would like to hear the honest feedback and input from other artists. I hope others will chime in if they have any questions or feedback. Thanks!
