no buddy thatās not a lucky star, thatās either very efficient self promotion, or this is the help of one of those unfair programs like featured items or whatever who make a difference between authors even though those concerned items are not all way better than the others , if u know what i mean ā¦
I ll share my case. I only have good sales with āoriginalā tracks and all my corpo/motiv tracks stay below the radar. My unique tracks are the ones bringing the money.
as @TitanSlayer said, there are some lucky authors with a couple of items and lots of sales. Luck (when the item is approved, words/tags and title) is a huge part of success in AJ.
PS: @AurusAudio this one-title thing that is going on is crazy!
Gonna try kazoo, should be the best seller! But in reality vintage sounding guitar tracks sold more than other tracks in my case. But it might be because that type of mysic comes the easiest to me, and I like it the most.
I want it to be about the music, not about who has the best SEO skills. Itās getting ridiculous at the moment with authors practically making up titles based on the common examples - Iāve seen Corporated, Corporational, Corporative - are they even words? On top of that, authors are now forced to rename older tracks to free up the same generic title to use again. Itās insanity!
Add to that the notion of one-liner descriptions and cramming the word ācorporateā in its various forms as many times as possible into the tags section and it gets ridiculous. Everybody is trying to outdo each other in terms of search engine optimisation and I feel weāre all forgetting about whatās most important - the music.
I mean stock is stock. Look at the most active community of AJ. They make ātrendingā stuff. Trending on AJ is corporate āgenreā and there is nothing to do with it(even cinematic not so popular). That is why if you make some experimental stuff it will NEVER be popular here, thats it.
Not necessarily true. If you can make something that resonates with a lot of listeners and proves versatile and commercially usable in a number of applications itās possible to make something very successful. I agree that corporate / motivational will likely always be the most popular genre here, but there was a time when that genre was new and different, too
Besides, I think the key to making a great track is to strike a perfect balance between generic and unique. Pushing the boundaries of conventional stock music is the key to making something big, I think.
I guess you should look to āfeaturedā desk. Yes there is plenty of genres - a bit rock, a bit jazz, a bit cinematic⦠What is the rest ? Uber uniqe corporate tracks.
Of course one can make some interesting and really uniqe beat, but where is guarrante that some one would really hear the stuff? I guess Envato admins would not even ever pin some experimental and original stuff, because it seems like buyers simply do not looking for it.
Maybe you need to look further at the various tracks that have been featured on AudioJungle. Yes, there are corporate tracks (why wouldnāt they feature them - they are the best selling genre!), but there are also many other genres and a lot of more outlandish and experimental tracks there - some of which went on to sell very well. So be careful in making assumptions
May be. I think the main thing is the āfeatureā desk, because it is the first thing what would customer see here. And the first impressions are clear: market is based for equial happy/business/kindergarten music.
I was resistant to the inspirational motivational inspioroniti names, what ever starts with insp or moti, so I named my tracks with the names I liked, and it got me nowhere, because the search system here is pure crap. At least theyāve fixed it a little bit, but still, why are there tags, if they basically do not work.
Thank you, wish you many sales too
