Help with a product and support

Hi, I have a feeling that the product author which I bought a product from, is not working honestly.

  1. I bought a WordPress plugin 3 years ago or so and set up it on my website
  2. Plugin is working perfectly fine even now
  3. I am doing totally new website design with a different WordPress theme (on the same domain) and want to move this plugin there
  4. When I move this plugin to the new website, it doesn’t work at all (not showing booking form)
  5. Of course I don’t have paid support and I don’t need paid support
  6. I just need my bought plugin to work and I asked the author to help me to make it work but he is asking me to buy the paid support

I am just asking what do you think about this issue, should I buy paid support in this case?
