Hello!
What happened here @Envato???
Probably this is part of the new look of the site, but the pictures of our works are not visible correctly! Only some of the item photos are showing correctly - the ones that are square or close to that size, but the others that are on long page previews are showing up wrong and you can’t see what they are for!
Does this mean that I will have to redo nearly 800 previews to a near square size for users to see my work correctly!
I’m also wondering. Please let one of the Envato staff help explain.
Hi @Rembassio, It will be better if you create a Envato author support ticket and let them know. Thanks
Hello! @ mgscoder. Thanks for the answer! Does no one here care what the authors write? I thought here was the best place for such problems! This is not just my problem but the whole community’s problem! Would you buy something from a place where everything is a mess and you can’t see what is being sold -NO!
The preview image we upload is 590x300 pixels, but the block displayed on the GraphicRiver front page is square (590x590 pixels). The issue arises from displaying a 590x300 pixel image in a square block. They may need to either change the block size or allow a separate field on the item submission page for uploading a square image. Alternatively, they could adjust the image fit to contain within the square, but this might reduce the image size and make it less visible. Users in the forum may not be able to assist you with this; it’s best to report it directly to the Envato team, as this issue should be addressed by the technical team
@baevox
Each author uploads a different size preview image in length.
We the authors were mindful of how the script displayed the previews of our pages and made them look normal.
Now this is not happening and I want to know - is this a programming error and will it be fixed - or do we have to fix our previews if this is done on purpose!?
I think this is a technical issue. Envato could resolve it by adjusting the image block size. The image currently displayed appears to be the “Inline Preview Image” that we upload on the edit item page, which is typically 590x300 pixels. For more information, you may want to reach out to Envato directly. https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Try to get solution (from envato dev team) through forum post can be delay. But report it to directly author support can be a quick response. Forum is actually a discussion platform about different things/topics, and asking for guideline/advice for any query.
@mgscoder
I already sent a ticket! Thanks for your support!
I’m facing similar issues.
Do you seriously think, that this is a bug!? No! This is done on purpose! After 15 years, Envato decided it was time to change the script! Just before the holidays! Thus, hundreds of thousands of flyers will remain almost invisible because of the shuffle and customers will not dig through them but will go to ELEMENTS! Whoever understood - understood!
@Bonter_has
Let’s not jump to conclusions! I’m still waiting for a response from my ticket!
At this point, we are having a conversation! I’ll update the thread as soon as I get a definitive answer!
Is there any update? I have also sent a ticket but have not received any response.
Hi @Rembassio - sorry for the late reply in this thread!
The graphics previews were affected by a change to the caching tool that we use for Envato Market (Cloudflare), which appears to have been updated with a different default cropping setting.
This has now been fixed (images will crop from the top, as they used to), and all preview images are being reindexed. Almost all content on the site should already be showing the correct previews, but there will still be a few items to go - the reindex is expected to finish running overnight.
@BenLeong
Thanks for your statement! I had a ticket open and support already notified me about it! Thank you!
