Falling income in elements

hi
I am really grateful to envato as it provided me great opportunity to create content and livelihood .
but from last 1-2 year income in Envato element falling . I uploaded lot on new content regularly . I wrote in the support . they told me to investigate . but not answered after that .
Now income is at that critical position that I have to choose between creating new content or eating food .
One video shoot of 4 hours now costs round about 200 usd ( model 100 usd + studio 50 usd + transport and etc ) . Everyone is asking for more money because of inflation .
its very difficult situation .
It will be very nice if envato give us some insight .
will be very grateful to envato teams
Is it happening to me or its with every-other element contributor .

yep my income is quite low on elements these days around 430 dollars a month.I made 1370 dollars last month on identifyy.There are alot more tracks on elements these days.

Yep:) i think elements and envato is failing huge as a platform. They made alot of poor greedy choices with their marketing and strategies and now concequences are following them. Elements need major revamp and different mindset as its changed from author community to blind and ignorant greedy corporation.

I don’t understand what do you expect, there are million of files, and Elements is not a place for quality but for quantity nr’s, even the advertising banner says unlimited downloads…

Elements has failed since day one, Envato is about what you are saying quality, creativity, and hard work Elements feels like a thief that wants to sell you some lie… it is impossible to make income from it because it was built to make money for the owner at any cost even if this means the complete Envato destruction… and I said this since day one it appeared now a few years later we are almost at the end of the journey.

It is a sad story that for me still does not make any sense you have a base of elite authors that made more than a billion $ in sales and you literally don’t care at all about the is like we are boots some sort of Ai that works for Envato.

I give it a maximum of 2 years until Envato’s definitely marketplace and Elements there is no way ti can continue like this.

After the former CEO Coils the new CEO literally had no clue how this marketplace works and he made a mess of things cash out… personally,I think this is illegal…

It was to be expected. It’s like going to the supermarket and for a few euros a month you can take whatever you want. Does that make sense?

Cannot work any harder, no motivation to to work on new items, falling income, new search engine not working for me, Envato issuing newsletters that are not helping, Envato continued silence, we haven’t done anything so nothing to see here and…

My income is plummeting like crazy too. I’ve been uploading a handful of new tracks in different genres, but the numbers keep dropping daily. Let along Audiojungle. That’s game over. Period. I’ve also noticed a huge influx of new authors with massive portfolios over the past three or four weeks (which I find absolutely fair!), so that’s probably part of the reason for this outcome. Once again a super oversaturated landscape.

Sadly, I’m back to only being able to compose for Envato very rarely in between other projects.

BTW: CID is the only thing that keeps things rolling.

I think I was the first one advocating against Elements a few years back and now I know I was right…

If Envato does not understand this and decouple Elements from the marketplace there will be no Envato in soon, they must be two separate entities and this must be made clear because now 5 out of 10 clients believe they will get everything!

Put me in charge for six months and I will bring this place to life like is Christmas! Why because I sell and created for Envato for almost 14 years, I understand what the clients want I understand Envato as an entity better than and CEO after Colis!

What exactly do you propose to change? And when you propose dont forget about other categories apart from coding and web.

One thing is required to get o the right track, of course, Elements at this point will not be closed but it must not cannibalize the marketplace anymore, make it clear to the client that ELements is Elements and the marketplace is the marketplace, now Elements advertisement is made on purpose to create confusion, so tht the buyer thinks will get everything, again this is done on purpose!

Keep the banner but add a clear message, not I go on my product page and the banner at the top “unlimited downloads”, what do you thing the client will do?

Marketplace still can be saved for categories like coding and web and of course subscription model like on Elements doesn`t fit them at all, i get you, your points are legit. But things with video/music/graphics are completely different. You can check the difference in popular sales in all those categories and it is clear that best category for market place is Web especially for providing support services while video/music and graphics are not selling at all.
Therefore my vision is that we need to separate those categories from (Market/Elements) and develop both but for different categories.

In my opinion marketplace for video/music/graphics category cannot be revived and subscription model is the only way to continue unfortunately.
What i suggest to Envato for Elements:

  1. To rise prices for subscription. For some reason they keep trying to expand more cheap client amount instead of actually keeping the client base that already exists. Envato ignored all the inflation around the world and kept the same prices. Even my internet provider increased pricing 3 times during the last 3 years. Netflix increased their subscription fee too etc…Everyone does.
  2. Change the search algorithms with fair item rotation so that every item has chance to be shown to the client. Why not to squeeze maximum from the existing items? Create more blocks of ~8 randomized items for each category.
  3. Delay adding new authors.
