Envato can do what they want, whenever they want, provided it’s within the law. Why you guys spend your time complaining when nothing will change.
Dislike it? Get a regular job. Go somewhere else. It is what it is, accept it or move on. Envato does not care about you, they care about money. If they go out of business they’ll still have made a successful company which they can use going forward.
Thanks for the heads up @pixel-industry , really appreciate your writing! Everyone here in same situation (except few) and seems Envato doesn’t bother to reply any thread like this.
This is hight time to build your castel outside Envato territory.
Nearly all days, we see new forum threads like this, from old authors…
And as a new author, it discourages us.
Envato must find a solution to this situation, and understand older authors.
Because of their hard working, envato is a great marketplace.
If they go, envato wont be better.
I think it is only fair now that envato get rid of the exclusivity agreement. As mentioned by a couple of other authors it will make very little difference even if they decided to cut down the fees.
But as always we all know how this thread will get ignored, or get a completely vague and patronising reply.
Something has changed in the statement. I see that I have earned much more this month than my actual balance is showing. Can’t be that from a clip that is bought by 25 usd, I get only 3 usd. Can it?
