Do we have tips that are makes purchased people to rate items?

I put “please rate the item in your downloads page” in the readme PDF, but I don’t think anyone reads those. I have 141 ratings in total, but only one in the last 3 years. And that was only because it was a friend who bought something.

I think Envato is sending a mail to the customer to remind to rate the item. Maybe I am wrong
They used to but I think they stopped. When I purchased dozens of photos in a day it was quite annoying to get dozens of reminder emails a few days later. Maybe some kind of compromise on one reminder for the lot could work… directing people to the downloads page so they can leave them there.

i think that is envato strategy, but that is not for future and for new authors, as u can see there is bad works saling good
If bad items are selling well then maybe they’re actually good items? I’d rather have a portfolio of bad items that sell well, than a portfolio of good items that don’t.
