In my Envato app on wordpress, I am getting the following message at the top of the screen when on the Envato App:

Failed to connect to the Envato API. Please contact the hosting providier with this message: “The Envato Market WordPress plugin requires TLS version 1.2 or above, please confirm if this hosting account supports TLS version 1.2 and allows connections from WordPress to the host api.envato.com”.

I am running a LEMP server, with Nginx as my web server. I am also using the Modsecurity WAF for my website. I am not sure if this message is being caused by the Envato app or by my WAF. Could someone please help explain all of this to me, and how I can go about fixing the app so the message no longer appears?

Just disable the plugin and see if it’s coming from there or not.

I disabled Modsecurity (my WAF) temorarily and the error went away. I think I need to whitelist the IP address that the envato wordpress app connects to in my WAF. Do you know what IP address the Wordpress app attempts to connect to?
