can someone help me submit a song? just a few simple questions

This site is more difficult than making thanksgiving dinner. Gee.

Thanks You in advance.
these sound dumb but I am now wondering if my first song was rejected
because I was not detailed enough in the submission.

  1. the “audio jungle” watermark. Is that only for the Preview?

  2. Is the Preview Only MP3 Format?
The zip contains All Versions of the Preview Song, like a short version
(the first 30 or 60 seconds, for example), and these are in .wav format,
WITHOUT THE “audio jungle” watermark, BECAUSE THESE are the files the client will
    download and buy?

  3. I have this in my description:
AFTER I DESCRIBE THE SONG IN DETAIL, I ADDED THE SONG AND LENGTH
    LIKE I WROTE BELOW:
    In the .zip

  4. EDM Sample5 FULL (3:41)

  5. EDM Sample5 SHORT (:42)

  6. EDM Sample5 LOOP A (:8)

  7. EDM Sample5 LOOP B (:16)

I must be lacking something

thanks

Hi jaxsn - Here you go.

  1. Yes
  2. Yes. Preview only in MP3. The zip contains all non-watermark files that customers will buy. Do NOT include Preview file in the zip.
  3. Description is fine but you should also list the times each of your 4 versions start in the Preview file for the buyer convenience; e.g. I do not think lacking this info will cause a hard reject.

Note: If you had a formatting problem or mislabeled something, you would most likely get a “soft reject”. Hard rejects are most often associated with the music content. If the reviewer assesses there is a lack of commercial viability due to arrangement and/or sound quality, you receive a “hard reject”.

Hope this helps clarify a few things. Good luck in the future!

JUST A COUPLE MORE QUESTIONS, PLEASE.

If I upload a song and it gets approved, can I re-upload the exact same song,
with ISRC Codes later, or would it have to be re approved again?

After an item is approved and in your portfolio you can modify it as long as it doesn’t degrade it. If you wish to change anything in the ZIP file, Preview file, and/or tags, you need to submit an edit via the Items Detail page. When you submit an update, be sure to explain what the update entails in the Comment section. If you happen to have total Star ratings that average above 4.5 (I believe), your edit will automatically be completed without human review. If you don’t meet this threshold, the edit will be reviewed for approval (often very swiftly; within a couple hours).

Go to: Item Details/Edit/Update Item & Tags

I’m not familiar with ISRC Codes nor do I know what Audio Jungle’s policy is for it. So in that regard, perhaps someone else can enlighten us.

“If you happen to have total Star ratings that average above 4.5 (I believe), your edit will automatically be completed without human review.” Minor clarification: It’s not the average star rating that determines whether you can update with review, but some algorithm based on your overall approval rate etc. (which isn’t made public).

I know this because I have trusted update status without any star ratings

Thanks for the clarification Paul. This seems to be a cloudy topic. I wish it was more clearly stated by Envato.

Yes indeed - it makes me nervous not knowing and wondering if I’ll lose the status if I get a couple of HRs!
