Pianoteq is very cool. If you like the “old school” sound, note on “Piano in Blue” plugin.
And the best Piano plugin is (drummroll):
A matter of taste
There are many many libraries out there which sound fantastic once you find out how to use them properly. Others might not suite your playing or your genre, no matter what you do. IMO The best overall allrounder for production music is Alicia’s Keys, but there are people who don’t like it. On the other hand: The one that I never liked is Emotional Piano, but it seems to be quite popular among folks.
Your question is not a good one. You need to at the very least specify if its for pop use or in an orchestral setting. Even then you could still be more specific as to whether it is for something light, romantic or more heavy.
Instead of spending my bucks on new sound libraries each time I need some fresh sounding instrument for a particular tune, I spend some time tweaking the libraries I already have. I usually start by experimenting with layering two (or even more) patches and when the result gets close to what I have in mind it’s just a matter of some tweaks balancing the sounds and some processing. This concept applies for acoustic pianos, as well. You can spend some extra time layering sounds and tweaking processors but it can save you loads of money and you’ll find that in the end you don’t need to buy each new library that comes out to achieve good results. Furthermore, you can end up with that good sensation that you just recycled some stuff that was almost completely forgotten on your HD that cost you already some precious bucks, it happens to me many times.
100% agree with you @JB_Productions ! I think it’s the best piano for emotional tracks ! You can play two or three notes and it’s magic
In the most of my tracks I use Fazioli Concert Grand, it’s really amazing.
PIANO in 162 - Wonderful Sound - and it´s free
Ivory 2. Spectacular.
Yes. I know this piano @Waderman.
Not bad at all for a free plug…(I even believe that’s the best free piano).
Strangely, it sounds more Upright than Grand…(But a very good upright piano)
Merry Xmas to all
