July was bad, I had 40% less sales than expected.
August started very good, and I’m happy with the new prices. Amazing experience so far!

Well my goal is to make aj as full time job, $200 is not enough
I’m pleased with the beginning of the month. Sales are still normal.
August started well for me with 2 sales. Hopefully it will continue like this😊
Well I am full time working for myself. It gets harder year by year accross all platforms to make some income, despite the care and quality I try and maintain. Sadly, all stock sites seem to bother more about numbers and less about the quality these days.
1 sale in august
Full time worker for $200 per month? wow
And lives in the UK!
@Marbury-Media how do you do it? Do you make more money on other platforms?
Like a few authors here, Marbury is also selling at other places. So, I’m pretty sure he did not meant that he would be happy to live with only $200 per month.
Now, making a few hundred dollars a month, multiplied by a few platforms is a different thing. Then, it becomes more achievable to live from royalty free audio.
But like he said, it’s becoming harder and harder as the years go by. I combine a few sources of money myself to live from and I’m still hopeful about the royalty free world, but I’m wondering more and more where all this over-saturation of music and sounds will lead…
I put high hope into ADP to help mitigate sales loss due to the insanely growing competition happening here. I think this new pricing system could become a positive game changer for many authors.
Ps: oh! And I like your new prices! Good luck!
Just got back from a few days off… but July was the worst month this year.
Let’s see how august will turn out, but i am holding my breath with the holidays and especially ADP.
I allready see respectable authors who churn out high quality tracks asking 5 dollars for their tracks… sigh.
Hi Robert, don’t worry too much about the 5$ crowd, your music is perfectly suitable for some substantial price rises!
Please follow the path of the braves that some audacious authors are paving for us all at this very moment! (Only a suggestion, not a price collusion attempt )
Let’s revamp this royalty free market in the right way! As soon as ADP is activated for sound effects, I’ll also revise many items prices in direction of the blue sky (like I already did for my music/logos).
This is a time of opportunities. Let’s make the best out of it!
i´m going to put my packs lower than my items…
Just for fun.
Ok…
…but hey, it could work, who knows! Haha! Good luck!
Later, thinking serious about it.
Would be interesting to see what lowprice authors would do…
A large base of AudioJungle clients are small to medium video/ad agencies, plus the occasional big box, game developers, youtubers, plus some individual editors. Most of them choose the right track for their project, not a lower price for the sake of a lower price.
That said, the authors who will go for basement bargain deals might sell a great number of tracks initially, but the buyer’s base is not infinite, so there will come a time when they will face a diminishing return state… At this point, those having pricier portfolios, will win the game. Or at least, it’s my dreamer prophecy.
Cozy basement!
Hhahaha!!
JAJAAJAJ
Un genio de las finanzas!
He does not have a red butterfly on his tie!
things are actually picking up for me in the first two days of August with this new pricing thing! yay!
