Actually, for broadcasts, the best tool is TuneSat. It’ll give you the name of the channel it’s broadcasted on. So you’ll know for sure which license is the appropriate one.

In that case, they wouldn’t need a broadcast license at all.

Of course they are required to buy the right license, as is everyone. And yet, there are many abuses of the broadcast licenses, mainly due to misunderstandings about what the audience size means. Most 1 million Broadcast licenses are actually abuses. As it’s requirements only concern very specific and localized

I have nothing against BMW, and I’m not saying they are trying to con Robert. But, in all likelihood, they would actually need a bigger license. So, it’s worth keeping an eye on it.

As for their museum, which would be considered a live venue, they’d only need the standard license.

Why doesn’t my track show search? Just at the moment in the category of drum and bass 6169 songs by clicking on the page 3 new items is getting 6168 tracks! Looks like my track went into space :joy:

Screen below:

Why? :man_shrugging: Tell me some thoughts! Thank you!

This month was terrible for me. 3 new tracks, plus one track was included in the discount campaign and I barely pass the threshold for the payment. I am really worried about the situation right now.

Elements is definitely having a huge impact here, that’s obvious. I guess if they don’t plan to separate it then they should change the subscription price, $70 or something I don’t know.

It would be nice if someone from Envato can give us some feedback. Maybe we authors can do something to change the situation for the better. We need some sort of communication from the guys above.

They won’t. It is clear as day now that their strategy is based on devaluing the entire AJ marketplace and, by extension, the entire stock music business. If this means destroying their “exclusive” business partners (LOL) income, well, it’s all part of the plan.

But they have nothing to say to you. And really, what should they say? “Oops, we didn’t mean it - it was all a mistake, sorry?”, “We didn’t realize that the banner on author’s pages will affect their sales?”, “Oooops, our banner somehow got animated and impossible to close a couple day ago, can you believe it?”, “Yeah, we use your track page to get your potential buyer into a subscription model so that you will lose their business forever. But hey, we promise, we DO care about you - here is a nice new badge for your efforts!”

They are communicating with us every day. Silence is communication, too.

The easiest way to not pay attention to the Elements is to write music that is not there, which is difficult to write, it is difficult to imitate, to find a niche style … and then customers will pay attention to you as the author …there is a small library, it should not compete with the main site, until it grows - will take a long time …

Dead week. Bad week.:unamused:

Elements…Nice.

This month was slightly better than May, thanks to 2 extended licenses, and 21 sales is 60% from June last year … but still, starting from 2018, a steady drop in revenues and number of sales …

Very low sales number, but a little below average earnings thanks to ADP. 50% less earnings compared to June 2018, which was a strong month for me though. Surprisingly this June have been my best overall earning month ever when counting all stock sites. A series of extended licenses outside AJ helped a lot.

I am tempted to say good luck and keep hoping for better times, and I will say it. Or I just said it… but more then anything revisit your strategies and keep in mind selling music here, is without a doubt, selling music at a site that does not take you seriously. So why would you take that site seriously? Anyone who wants to share experiences outside AJ, feel free to reach out on message or email. I believe nothing potentially attracts more customers then high quality portfolios, and there is a need to migrate more quality AJ authors to more ambitious stock sites IMHO.

Good luck whatever you choose to do!

I do not blame elements and even more Envato cause my trust level is great. But these someone are some corporate-motivational lobbyists … well, I still believe in the secret plan to oust competitors.

48% sales, 135% revenue compared to June 2018.

Up and down with sales drop. Hope buyers just busy with their vacation.
And wish everyone a Good July!
