Tested some pricing strategies with partial success. Last sale was 2 days ago.
It’s getting worse and worse… almost no sales this week.
Yes, they did all they could to screw us with their banner and its working.
Which is such a sad state of affairs. Firstnote.
It actually keeps me up at night since this has been my fulltime job for a while now, i kept thinking why i am so dissapointed and worried these last few months.
I was so joyful and full of energy when i started out… i even felt at home at envato and went exclusive all the way.
Hell, i even felt as Envato had my back as they really seemed to support the authors, and i believe it was KingDog that even stated on the forums that he loved my epic cinematic dubstep track. (they are listening to tracks and giving us positive feedback… wow!)
I had one of my tracks featured, and was featured artist of the week as well once.
But these last few months have been such a rollercoaster… and if it had not been for ADP i would have had a low income since sales have really declined. Thankfully ADP helped out quite a bit to compensate the loss.
But it seems that ADP was a sign of things to come… and now with Elements in full force i am really not sure if i can even stay here with my 200+ tracks.
I tried non-exclusive tracks on other stockaudio websites and found no love at all… low sales, if any at all.
I really do not want to transfer all of my tracks to other websites, but it feels like i am being taken advantage of, and all i can do is put up with it or leave… which i really do not want to do.
So Envato really is the best choice for me and i really want to stick with them as well, but it seems like they are not really giving a toss about us non-elements authors now, and are destroying audiojungle with Elements, allowing stupid 5 dollar tracks, still not improved upload process, crappy generic titles, cheating authors and copycats, and changes i cannot understand or stand behind.
Sorry for the rant, just want to vent my loss of trust in Envato and my fear of the future on this website.
I realise all too well that Envato is a business and they need to keep up… but with these last few changes i am not sure if they are going in the right direction. I know I am not sadly.
Sorry to read that Robert and I am feeling the same way. This month has been my best ever month for revenue ever which is good, sales numbers are now not important as ADP sorts that out. Niche tracks within my portfolio has been my mainstay on this site as Elements does not have what I offer thankfully. I think Corporate and SFX is a done deal on AJ. I am now going back to teaching in September and any extra money earnt from this site will be seen as a bonus. I had to stop teaching due to Multiuple Sclerosis and progressive disability but I will be working through this as being a full-time author really is not possible on this site as the playing field continually changes and loyalty and quality are not rewarded. Sad words indeed but I respect my work too much to enter a price drop and to mention the Elements banner is another whole different story.
Good to hear that Graham, very good! New targets, new focus.
Incomprehensibly… The end of may and the beginning of June very pleased! It’s two weeks of silence! As if disabled sales))))))
Great to hear about you having a great month Graham!
I guess one positive as well is, as you mentioned, having a niche library that Elements cannot compete with since it has mostly corporate tracks and other standard genres.
The end of the month. End of sales.
Those numbers are per week
AudioJungle isn’t quite what it used to be… such a shame!
Not a single sale since the banner of doom. Absolutely flash dead!
I haven’t uploaded anything in a month, though, so I won’t blame it on that only, of course. Nice month overall, I have to say. Let’s see what happens in these couple of days it has left.
First month with no US buyers since december 2018 by the way (had 1 sale form US back then, so it was already unhealthy). It’s Germany and France today on top now. Just my statistics ( very small numbers, means nothing to top sellers)
4.5 days without sales. This week only 1 sale. My motivation to work tends to zero.
Man… still no sales.
C’mon guys don’t give up! If you got sales, go produce more! If the time passes without sales, also go produce more! #tryingtomotivateyou
Few sales trickling in and a 1 million broadcast license to BMW sold.
And now i am off to produce more tracks! #listeningtoshymonmusicactuallyhelps
Congrats Robert!
But you should make sure they got the correct license, as it’s unlikely BMW would broadcast on such small channels. A BMW used car dealer in a tri-county area, why not? But BMW, as in The company, they’d most likely require the top license (which should be 4 fugures).
Thanks Purplefog!
If there is a way to check that, it would have to be through content ID.
I will probably see it pop up in a few months.
