Are accounts of people living in Taiwan automatically getting banned on no other criteria than that?

I have some friends from Taiwan that told me this is going on and I find it hard to believe - yet it has happened to them for no other reason. One within an hour.

Has anyone else noticed this, or perhaps know why this is happening?

For me it looks like Taiwan is not on the list…
