I have no idea where to put this, and I’m a bit frustrated that this is an issue. I’m trying to activate my Newspaper theme, which has always worked fine before. Now for the past couple weeks, I can’t. It gives me this message: The Envato API is down and we can’t verify your purchase code. Please try again later. Sorry about this."
It’d be really swell if this could be addressed. There’s no clear instructions on my end to fix this, so I’m guessing that, by the text in the message, that this is Envato’s problem. Interestingly, the “contact@tagdiv.com” email it lists after the error message doesn’t come up valid.
That may happen sometimes, usually when trying after a little while it works. If the problem remains however, please try the manual activation instead, from here 2018-07-09_1405 In case that does not work as well, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website, admin login, and the activation code, so we can take a closer look at this issue.
I can’t do a manual activation because that page says: “The envato API is down and we can’t verify your purchase code. Please try again later. Sorry about this.” as well. So I can’t get the activation code I need. I don’t understand why it worked before with no problems, but now that I’m trying to start it up again, it isn’t. I don’t think it’s an issue on my side because this is a new host and new install. This is something with Envato API servers, and if it’s not going to work for me anymore, I want my money back.
The Envato API is up and functioning correctly. We have constant monitoring of both the availability and functionality of the API, if it goes down or stops working we know about it right away. We keep our status page up to date, so if there are any outages of the API (or any other components) you can check there.
The Newspaper theme activation process first goes through servers run by tagDiv, and from there to our API. I’m afraid at this point you’ll need to contact them for specific help, as we don’t have visibility into what’s happening on their side.
@tagDiv, if you’re experiencing any issues with our API, please reach out and we’ll be happy to help!
And so it’s back to Tagdiv, tho the message says it’s the Envato API. Someone’s server somewhere is not working, and I’d really appreciate it being fixed quickly so I can activate the product I paid for. @tagDiv ?
I can’t seem to find an email from you, please send it again if possible, with the required information I mentioned so we can take a look at this issue asap. I will be checking for your email.
I would like to, but when trying to send an email to you at contact@tagdiv.com, I get the following message:
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded:
5.1.3 The recipient address <contact@tagdiv.com.> is not a valid RFC-5321
5.1.3 address. l70sm975382pgd.20 - gsmtp.
Please check the message recipient “contact@tagdiv.com.” and try again.
Now that is unusual. Our main email works fine from what I can see, new emails are received constantly. Try sending us an email on a different address, for example at pr@tagdiv.com and I will look for it there. Please try it.
I did type it it manually and got the same thing, but it seems that the Thunderbird email client doesn’t like that address. Looking through options about that now
