I recently used music I downloaded from Envato Elements to make a Lofi video on Youtube. The visuals are mine but the music is all from artists I found on Envato.
Some of the music I used had ContentID enabled so it was immediately flagged for copyright. I disputed this by explaining that I have the license through Envato. I didn’t know where to upload the license though so I submitted it without it.
My dispute was rejected by the artists. Originally I thought it was because I did not include the licensing agreement. However, after looking online, I think it might be because adding visuals to the music is not enough.
Does anyone know which is correct?
I don’t want to dispute their claim if I’m in the wrong by uploading their music with my visuals. However, if it’s just that I need to upload the license then I can fix that.

It’s not the artists who reject your disputes. You need to contact the company that is indicated in the claim as the ContentID administrator.
Can I use music items downloaded from the Envato Elements library in YouTube videos?
This depends on how the music is used in the YouTube video. The value of the End Product (i.e. the video) must not be predominantly derived from the music; instead, the value of the End Product must stem from the combination of the music and the visual (as well as any other elements).
You would not be permitted to distribute or broadcast the music as part of a Youtube video where that video is simply a single image or compilation of images with the music overlayed over the visual. Example: with the title “Relaxing Music for Work”. In this instance, the music track would be the primary component as the user is seeking relaxing music to listen to and the video component is secondary.
If it’s likely that people will be clicking on the video mainly to listen to the music, it is likely that this video is in breach of the license.
