Lately it feels like all the AE templates being uploaded are not very exciting or anything I’d want to use. It feels like the same regurgitation of styles for the past few months. The same title packs, the same liquid elements, the same sport promos. Not a lot of variation in style. And I’ve been questioning where I can go to get higher-end After Effects templates. Then I saw someone post a thread recently in reddit that expressed the same feelings I’ve been having so it can’t just be me who feels this way lately about the quality of After Effects templates being accepted to Envato. For example, there arent a ton of AE templates being uploaded to envato that look REALISTIC where you can swap out their images for yours, to make it look like your photos were really filmed in real life (like this link for instance Realistic Frames | Photo Displays, Video Displays ft. anniversary & love - Envato) so I made my own realistic photo frames template and uploaded it to your website in November 2023 and it was rejected. And you refuse to tell people why it was rejected. So my point is, I feel like Envato might be rejecting a lot of submissions, like mine, that have cool styles that people actually desire - in favor of uploading the same styles that you’ve been uploading for a year plus now. I really hope your team will diversify the AE templates that you’re currently offering. I work in broadcast television and I’m always looking for cutting edge After Effects designs on Envato that look like a professional designed it, and I havent been seeing that same level of amazing templates the past year on Envato. How can I influence change or possibly submit my candidacy to be a judge of said templates? I’d really like to influence change on your website.

Why should someome earn a cents?
I also work in broadcast for over 20 years and i know what are you looking for, but this place won’t have that quality since we are here to earn enought to compensate our time.
10 years ago i was in top 30 authors, because i know what people want, now with AI and subscription nothing else matters if you are amazing video editor and have skills the sky is the limit.
(show me the money is 4 words. Not one), but in all seriousness there are a lot of strong templates on videohive. They’re older. And I’m just not seeing those any more. Why the change in quality over the years? Has inflation made it too expensive to do templates for cents the dollar? is that literally all theyre making from one template, cents? It cant be that little
the screenshots show the $45 range. so im sure author gets a cut and envato gets a cut. that doesnt translate to cents on the dollar. I’m not looking for sarcastic answers. if youre knowledgeable about how much authors make on these templates just be straight with.
First of all, I am not showing how much. they are earning. I am just showing the fact, why Envato does not have high-quality items like before. However, I am not sure but for 45 $ the Author is getting around 26.5 $ per sale (Without tax). But do not forget they are Power Elite Authors they have to give 12.50% to Envato. Another thing is that most of the weekly best templates are made before 2024 or 2023 and there are only 24 to 30 templates in weekly best. But Envato has more than thousand templates and most of them are not getting sold.
