WOW! Soft reject for my WordPress theme. Need help!

Hi everyone! I uploaded my new WordPress theme but I got strange answer by reviewer. It was soft reject. I have never got before.

Your design has an interesting starting concept, but it needs significant improvements in terms of aesthetics and attention to detail.

As higher quality items become available in the marketplace, approval requirements will increase to maintain appropriate marketplace quality.

While I’d be able to provide feedback as to how to get this approved, I can only do it after it has crossed a certain threshold, quality-wise. I’m sorry to say this isn’t there yet.

Where to start?

  • An overall design quality
  • Visual hierarchy and aesthetics
  • Typography
  • Forms and buttons
  • More attention to details
  • Better design consistency
  • An overall spacing
  • Color contrast and schemes

My theme: Cosmecos – Organic Cosmetics and Perfumes Beauty WordPress Theme

Who did solve this problem? Does it need full redesign or small changes will be enough?

As per my experience with this reviewer, you should focus more on your typography. Probably using 2 different font families for headings and body font will help a bit.
