Unfortunately it will always going to be a risk when using stock themes regardless of where they are from.
If you go with one of the leading big authors then it’s less likely to happen but still not something that envato can control.
The alternative is to hire an agency and pay a retainer fee to then to maintain the site and keep things up to date but obviously that will be a significant cost.
