Where can I find all my API keys?

Hi, where have all the API keys gone? I cannot find them anymore in my themeforest account. Also I cannot create them like we used to. We have a lot of clients ans have stored all the api keys in our themeforest account. See beneath picture: (the api key option is now missing in settings)

Thanks!

Hi,

You can create your api key from here

Follow these steps to fetch your API Key:

  1. Go to https://build.envato.com/create-token/.
  2. Choose a token name.
  3. In the permissions list below, make sure to check ‘View and search Envato sites’ and ‘View your Envato Account username’.
  4. Then, click Create Token .

An API token is not associated with a specific purchase; it is associated with your account, so all your purchases are accessible using the API.

Thanks!

Thank you, I swill use it. But is it also possible to get access to our clients api keys that we have created the last years or are they lost? Thanks in advance

I’m not sure how would you get the previous api key.
Envato create this new api Token system at 2019
Here is details thread. You can get more help from that i hope about your api.

Hi

If you created your previous token at https://build.envato.com/
then you will find those token here: https://build.envato.com/my-apps

Otherwise you have to create new token.

Thanks

Hi @ferstkat,

The “API keys” section you mention handled the keys for our legacy API, which we’ve been in the process of shutting down for the past year or so. At the beginning of this month we retired it completely, and with it we removed the API keys menu and the functionality behind it. For the past several months use of those API keys had been severely limited.

@unlockdesign has pointed you to the instructions to get a token for the modern API. Those tokens are required to interact with our APIs now. Prior to the legacy API retirement, we communicated with authors to make sure their items had been migrated to the new API.

If you’re using an item that still uses the legacy API, please first try to update it to the latest version. If it is already the latest version, then please get in touch with the author. They should be well aware that the legacy API has been shut down now.

Let me know if you have further questions about it.
