Hello folks,
yeah very odd situation! Plus I noticed a big flood of new authors, which i strongly believe are actually few authors (somehow) opening several accounts, and posting VERY VERY similar tracks and just changing a bit the tempo, key and sounds… like a 10 minute job… and like having 20 comments on a very average song just to create a little bit of hype…
this is a big spam invasion and i think something like ID verification, upload limit and so on, have to be done, really not good for people who invest money and a huge amount of time on creating original songs and playing this game honestly.
And all this after so called “raising quality standards” and wave of hard rejects (which I supported in general, just because it prevents copy-pasting and helps original music to take over).
yep, i think am gonna open a thread about sharing ideas on how to get a hold of this situation… lets keep the spirit high
We write the year 2016. The conflict between the Envaterium and the Alliance of Authors has reached another critical peak. The Envaterium has to act quick, as the mistrust from the side of the Authors rises drastically…
Now seriously: If this is indeed true that new authors get favoured in the review queue (although It doesn’t make much sense to me) then it’s definetely outrageous.
A conclusion why new Authors would get favoured might be a new “growth” strategy from Envato to keep new Authors uploading. If this is true, then it’s definetely a punch in the gut for every loyal Author that has participated in making this Marketplace big.
Please Envato come forward and clear this up because (if true) this is very unfair.
On a side note: ID verification is something that has been requested more than a couple times over the last year. I still think it is a necessary tool to tackle unlawful Authors. In the end it’s not just a musician that gets pirated, it’s also Envatos approval process which allows this to happen.
Something dodgy is definitely going on. Some of the new tunes from brand new authors are really bad; there’s fade outs, cheap sounding MIDI, copy and pasting of their own music, no profile photos. I can’t work it out.
I’m waiting 32 days now, too. New negative record! What do you think how many days we have to wait?
20 days! hell yeah! http://quality.market.envato.com/audiojungle25
It becomes funnier every day Now that Review Turnaround page is completely useless.
Yea that page is completely pointless, I have NINE tracks over 21 days in the queue
here is just some of them, they don’t fit in one screenshot so just a few of them lol (my personal worst review time is the top one, 1month 5 days and counting)
I spent MANY hours on these tracks (as im sure all other proper audiojungle authors have), why should they be pushed to the back of the queue by a load of fly-by-night quick-buck new artists who are NOT going to improve the long term Envato experience for authors or buyers. Please Envato, get your proirities straight and treat the authors who are keeping you in business happy. or your alternative is dealing with a mass exodus from authors and artists alike.
AudioJungle sucks!!!
This is Ridiculous!!! 1 Month : {
I suppose all we can really do is see what Envato does about this in the coming week. They promised shorter review times not longer in June, lets see if they (somehow) manage that… but im not holding my breath
The most funny thing is they actually did made review times much shorter.
Yea lol in a way they did I guess!
Guys, let’s face one thing : Envato WILL NOT disable accounts that sound familiar or almost the same, even to stop new authors flooding the marketplace with fake profiles coming on this marketplace because every sale is a SALE and it goes right into their pocket and we have to find out for ourselves.
The only one thing i strongly agree and support is the ID for every single profile…Driving licence, passport, the ID card…One author is allowed to have two profiles : One exclusive and one non-exclusive and i think that is fair enough.
I think that somehow, we can resolve this situation and the only thing we can do now is to wait for Envato feedback wich i don’t belive that will come soon and i also belive that if they change privacy and policy it will be needed HUGE ammount of time and work to sort every single author and every single ID check…Let’s see what they think about this.
@Mega-Music Let’s hope, that they provide ID verification at least. It’ll be great step forward.
About rest of the stuff… If it’s true, It’s hypocritical even to call it Quality team. Quantity team makes much more sense then. (hope it doesn’t sound too offensive )
I honestly hope that it’s not " qunatity team " but seems like it is…There are many things coming up as a threat to authors and Envato is obligated to do something about it…At least i think it’s obligated.
@WormwoodMusic Pretty sure moderator will show up soon and delete link to actual item.
Well, if he wants to do it simple way,it’s ok. But I really doubt, that this person actually bought license for using this Big Fish Audio Library since it doesn’t care even about description.
Has any authentic (well maybe that is a little harsh), an author with an older membership had a track accepted recently? And if so what was the queue time?
Maybe it’s a test with automisation of reviews?
I’m at 27 day, still in review
I was thinking maybe envato test an automatic soft for review A friend of mine (new author, april registred), got approved 8 consecutive items and then 4 consecutive hard rejects in 24 hours. maybe it’s coincidence, but from what I listened the tracks are pretty the same level… who know
