Utopian theme too large to upload to WordPress

Just bought the Utopian theme. I attempted to upload it using the WordPress upload option. After several minutes, the upload times out. I didn’t notice it at first but the upload is over 90 MBs! I’ve tried to ftp the theme to the Themes directory in expanded and zipped format but no joy. Anyone encountered this before? Is there a size limit or timeout option somewhere in WordPress to accommodate larger themes?

I can’t be the first person this has happened to.

Hi,

Did you upload the theme directory or are you trying to upload the whole folder you’ve downloaded from Themeforest with PSD included?

Try to find the folder where the “style.css” is in and upload that folder to your /wp-content/themes/ folder.

Thank you! Did that but now I’m getting this error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_option_tree() in /home/content/d/i/e/diemertins/html/wp-content/themes/utopian/front-page.php on line 9

Install OptionTree plugin (i bet this was the first suggestion in documentation/help file)…

This keeps getting better. I uploaded the plugin for the option (manually, as I still can’t work with the .zip file at 90 MB). The plugin shows up in the plugins options fine. However, when I go to activate it, I get this.

You are trying to upload the entire download, this includes PSDs etc, you have to upload the inner zip file.

And are you running PHP5?

Utopian is working fine. I installed the theme 3 days ago for a client. You are probably doing something wrong or your hosting has some weird settings.
