Themeforest HTML template got hard rejected

I recently uploaded a Coming Soon HTML template on Themeforest, having different variants of the same, and it got hard rejected. I’ve also worked on optimisation and accessibility of the template as much as possible along with cross browser compatibility, So now I’m just wondering what might have went wrong. I’ll be grateful if anyone can point the weaknesses in it so that I can work on those and incorporate the same on my future uploads.

If you password protect the demo then the reviewer cannot see it and it will be rejected

Aside form that coming soon are almost impossible to get approved now unless if offers something amazingly new and unique

And while uploading I’ve also provided the unprotected link. So can you kindly have a look now and give me an idea about the rejection?

I doubt it would be approved simply because there’s a lot of similar items for free online and it’s not bringing anything especially new to the category

Ok, got your point. But they’ve mentioned about quality issues. Their rejection mail says something like this: “Sorry we cannot proceed with this further, as its not matching with our quality standards”. So I’m more curious about that aspect.
What could have been bettered from my side?

That’s generic hard rejection because there’s too much needed for them to offer practical advice for approval.

This is a crazy difficult category to be approved on because it’s almost impossible to prove premium value and the majority of multi purpose items offer several coming soon pages as part of a template with a huge number of pages and functionality.

I would abandon this and focus on something bigger that is either multi purpose of focussed features and functionality on a specific sector

It is a very simple design and has no exceptional or eye-catching look. Specially its typography is so weak. It is not a Themeforest standard template I think.
