Theme Requirements!

I want to use shortcodes and other post type in theme. I wonder, must I use it directly in theme or need to do that via plugin and activate with TGM?

You must use plugin to register shortcodes, post types and taxonomies. Its Wordpress theming requirement on Themeforest
