Yes, apparently the new deal is, as long as there’s a permission on items that were used in the AI models and training you can have all the rights you need for the generated AI work.
So, Envato is the biggest marketplace, with the most valuable content, and will include this in their TOS, PP etc.
You will get paid they say, but clearly you’re not receiving a dime from those OPs at the moment.
I’ll just add here that Envato is an amazing corporate company, an institution.
As for you authors, you’re just plain ol’ fools.
