Product upgrade & customer support

Hi, I am not very much expert in envato. I have two questions about customer support.

  1. If I upgrade a product, can previous customers download it for free?
  2. Should I ask for extra charge if any customer (purchased with support) wants a upgrade with his own requirements?

I have less experience with customer dealings. Sorry, for silly questions :blush:
