When will the update be available to all authors? I mainly upload stock footage and would love to try this tool out. It sounds like it could greatly enhance the workflow and encourage authors to create more quality stock!

Hi all (and thanks for the prompt @poberailo!),

We’ve been gathering feedback from our beta testers for the new upload page and are working on the final feature that will allow us to open this up to the rest of the community! We’re just building in the feature to handle upload of Release Forms … we hope to have this ready in the next 2 to 3 weeks, and after this is rolled out it will be all systems go!

I appreciate your patience and apologies for the delay in launching this more widely. The team have also been working on some back-end changes to help reduce some of the review wait times, so as always we’re juggling lots of things. But we now have a dedicated focus on getting the new Upload Tool ready for launch to everyone (we also have a separate team focusing on the review queue times, so this is not being ignored).

Hello!
Error in the new system to upload “Select Local Files”.

  1. Since yesterday I am trying to send two files. Everything is normal with the exception that it is nowhere in the queue waiting review files, they are not present.
    Today again upload the same two files and they’re not seeing in the tail.
    I hope to address this problem.
    If you send the 50-60 files is likely to lose some of them if not addressed. We should check the waiting list at an interval of time to make sure that we are all uploaded successfully.
    This is annoying and waste time.
  2. A few days ago I sent files with the titles identical to those in waiting. Once you had to describe them I saw that they had opened old waiting files that days ago was already described.
    Oldest form of upload for now is good to me :slight_smile:
    Sorry for my bad English.

A bit of topic but still on vh stock footage though…

when we will be able to purchase footage with different resolutions and prices? like photodune and like any other big stock footage market?

Yup, that would be nice feature… Had to upload 50 files this month, did 100 uploads because of two sizes…annoying

Hi folks,

Apologies for the lack of further updates here - we’ve been working on a few last things before we launch this to the broader group, and we are now really close!

Part of the reason for the delay was the team helping out with some of the challenges within the review process, which we had to prioritise slightly ahead of getting our new upload tool out the door. Although the review queue times are still not where we want them to be, we have a number of parallel projects that are trying to improve that behind the scenes.

But we have a small team back focusing on the video upload page and finishing off the feature that will allow authors to include Release Forms with their uploads. All being well, this will be ready in the next couple of weeks or so and from there we hope to start opening up access to more and more authors.

Thanks for the nudge on this - we’ve been slowly ramping up access to the new upload tool over the last couple of months. We’ve been opening up to an increasing number of users and seeing how the system performs, as well as addressing some of the early user feedback. Access is granted based on a ‘first come, first served’ basis when we add more seats, but I’m more than happy to open up access to specific authors on request!

If you’d like to get access to the new upload page, just fill out this really quick form!

After you send us your details, we’ll aim to provide access to the new page within a couple of days (subject to weekends and public holidays getting in the way :smile: )
