My purchased Hongo Theme is still 3.1 and not updated to 3.2, why?

I purchased this theme in 2021, they updated to 3.2 since 2024.6, but my version is not automatically up to date, still 3.1, it says Lifetime Updates, while mine didn’t.

My support for this theme has expired, while if they update everything automatically and fix their issue in time, from my experience, there is no necessary at all for their support.

Additionally, it comes with wp bakery builder, while without license, and it potentially have conflicts with other plugins too, as my wordpress and all other plugins can not conduct auto update even I have enabled them. I don’t have many plugins too, only essential.

I have checked the error logs and tried to find the reasons, and asked the hosting customer service, they said it’s the wp bakery builder issue, it seems like it all goes down to the Hongo Theme or the wp bakery builder.

Another question is, can the problem be solved even you purchase the wp bakery builder license??

WP bakery builder is 7.9 version now, while this theme is just only to 7.7, and if it doesn’t up to date, the website would have issue, a mess. I have encountered this many times, which is very frustrated. There is always flagged ‘Low-Risk Vulnerabilities’ from wp bakery from security, and always tells me to disable this plugin to fix it, while if i do that, my website will be totally broken.

Hongo theme can not update you a 7.9 wp bakery, my Hongo addons is old version too. and it would be a big project if you build from different builder, such as elementor. There are so many issues arose and the fee would be just kept adding up, such as need to hire a web developer, pay security (too much Vulnerabilities), renew support, buy the wp bakery builder license and more.

There is no access to any kinds of customer support if you don’t pay for them, which is unfair, as this is their issues, not the customers. Why we have to pay the support again to tell them to update? It doesn’t make sense at all. They promised lifetime updates. but it didn’t happen.

major issues here:

  2. How to update my Hongo Them now? I didn’t receive any notification either.(solved)

  3. My wordpress and all plugins can not conduct auto update and it’s related to this theme and wp bakery builder.

You can ask your query directly to the theme author by posting comments going through the theme Comments page.

Or send them a direct email going through the author profile page in Envato market, there you will find a contact form.

otherwise you can download the update version from Envato Market Downloads page and update manually using ftp.

Note: Better to keep a full backup before doing the update.

Thank you for your advice, I have sent them an message on their theme. and I just tried to download that plugin, and it worked, so the theme update issues has been solved.

Consider buying the WP Bakery license to fix some issues, but it won’t solve theme-specific problems. Manually check for updates or contact the developer about the Hongo theme. Conflicts might be blocking auto-updates; try manual updates or troubleshooting. You might also consider switching to a better-supported theme and builder.

I have solved the update issues, while still need manual update from evato market plugin, they can’t do auto update which is not that good, I don’t think it’s possible that always look at the website. and also, even the theme and wp have been up to date, while all the enabled-auto update-plugins still can not conduct auto.

Have you added the envato plugin and registered the theme using that?
