My plugin got a hard reject, and I have no idea why.

Hello Envato Community,

I am seeking feedback and clarification regarding the review and rejection process for my plugin “Brikpanel,” which I have submitted to Codecanyon four times. Each submission has resulted in a hard reject, and after the latest attempt, I received a warning from a reviewer stating that further submissions could result in a ban on my account.

I am struggling to understand the reasoning behind these decisions. My plugin introduces features that are not present in any other WooCommerce dashboard or analytics plugin, such as real-time cart tracking, live visitor monitoring, a Shopify-style orders panel, and an instant “ka-ching” sound notification for new sales. I have invested significant effort into documentation, interface design, and even provided a live demo for reviewers.

What I find especially confusing is that, just 11 days ago, the following plugin was accepted in the exact same category:
https://codecanyon.net/item/duos-product-tabs/58323996

This “product tabs” plugin is functionally much simpler and similar plugins are available for free on WordPress.org. In contrast, my product provides unique, advanced analytics and admin features that do not exist in the WooCommerce ecosystem (free or paid).

I have also received positive feedback from WooCommerce store owners and communities (including Woo Facebook groups and Slack channels), who find my plugin highly valuable and innovative. Yet I have not received any actionable feedback or a clear reason for rejection from the review team.

Could someone from the Envato team, or the community, please clarify:

  • What specific criteria is causing my plugin to be hard rejected?
  • Why are simpler and less original plugins (such as the product tabs example above) being accepted, while more innovative and feature-rich plugins are not?
  • Is there a way to receive actual, actionable feedback so I can improve my product and contribute to the marketplace, rather than being threatened with a ban?

Thank you for your attention. I genuinely want to contribute high-quality solutions to the Envato community, but the current process feels inconsistent and discouraging.

Any advice or transparency from reviewers, staff, or fellow authors would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Salih

First of all, it’s different product. If you go that, you won’t be able to find an answer but the main question here should be, in 12 days, there’s no sale for a new item. The total page views at CodeCanyon is now the lowest ( so far ) and sales are not good.

Having an approved item is not gonna make any difference if there’s no sale.

In addition, there’s another discussion ( similar ) you can check here:

  • What specific criteria is causing my plugin to be hard rejected?
    Noone knows.

The review team do not provide details for those hard-rejected items.

That section is now irrelevant—new items rarely get any visits. It used to matter in the past, but the review team has since rewritten the rules and now evaluates submissions based on “market demand,” even though demand has virtually disappeared. Clients have largely abandoned the platform, so even a top-notch item can be rejected for supposedly lacking demand. The real problem is: how can they possibly know what’s in demand, and how can they make those calls reliably without mistakes?

Just reskinning wp-admin with CSS won’t cut it. Needs to add real value with UI/UX improvements and new functionality.

In fact, it’s not just that. I recommend you take a closer look, as the plugin has a number of unique features, from a completely revamped order page with metrics that WooCommerce doesn’t provide, to an order search function that works throughout the admin panel.

Your item is a dashboard theme and you didn’t even add style to the admin top bar !
Reviewers won’t process while the main feature of your item looks unfinished.

Really?

Metrics on landings searches.. o perhaps.. :index_pointing_up::grin: they ask yo ChatGPT..:rofl::rofl:
