My music advertising other author's profile on Youtube

Hey everyone! Did you ever come across a video with your music on it, but the link in the description leads another person’s Audiojungle portfolio?
In my case I found a Youtube vid with one of my tracks in the background without the AJ watermark. This tells me that the author of the video bought a license to use my music, but presents it to the viewers as his/her own work. My name or username are not mentioned anywhere in the video description. What are your thoughts on this matter? Cheers and have a great Sunday

Hi!
I think this is a forgery (falsification). Yes, the person who bought this track is its owner, but has no right to be called the manufacturer of this product. Sorry for my English.

The person who purchases a track is never the “owner” of that track. They just bought a license to -use- the track within the boundaries set out in such license.

This is fraud and I would report it for sure.

Depends what the link says. A standalone link to their profile is one thing, a link that says I made the music in this video and you can buy it here is another entirely.

I would check if he really bought the license.

Strange thing.

Just saying… an Audiojungle author should use his own tracks to advertise his marketplace profile, but it seems not an obligation or unethical under Audiojungle guidelines. I mean, I won’t promote my Themeforest portfolio using Avada images in a Youtube video.

Thanks for the replies!
Yes, it’s a form of forgery, fraud etc, but definitely not against the rules. A textbook catch-22 situation.
I guess nobody at Envato thought while writing the guidelines that a creative person can be this immoral  Maybe it has to be clear that you’re not allowed to advertise your portfolio using another authors work without stating their username or something like that.
