Hi everyone, interesting thread.
I’ve been purchasing on Envato marketplaces for some years. As a putrchaser, I look for quality, check out comments & reviews and also note how long it takes an author to respond to questions.
If you have a good product, good comments, a great sales page & quick, helpful replies, your product should sell well.
Product presentation is also important. If your sales page presents well, it grabs my attention & I read more. Demo’s are important too - as is the loading time of them.
If you are confident that you have all the above right, sales shouldn’t be an issue. So review what you are doing with a crtical eye & make any required improvements.
I’ll soon be launching a product on Envato. But I’ll not just rely on Envato traffic, no. I’ll be creating a website for my product as well as have it mentioned on lots of blogs & social media channels. In doing this, I’ll now I’m doing all I can to generate sales.
If you still need additional income, how about becoming an affiliate? Why would promote other authors products? Easy! To help drive customers to Envato market places. This will also help your items get noticed. Why don’t a few of you get together as affiliates to promote each others items?
Hope this helps,
Boyd
