Hi,

I got a $20 Envato studio coupon with paypal promotion by subscribing to the newsletter. Where can I enter this coupon code to redeem it. If I try to enter this code on paypal website, it says that it is not a valid coupon.

Its not for the marketplace but Envato Studios.

I just came here looking how to redeem the $20 coupon too when buying a theme.

I didn’t even know Envato Studio existed. In my head I’m using Themeforest or CodeCanyon, Envato is just a back-of-the-mind thing that Envato own the network, so I didn’t have a clue that there was a differentiation between the market and studio.

I don’t mind paying the full price in the market, especially for good quality work, but the coupon thing is misleading - it isn’t clear enough that it isn’t for market products. $20 is neither here nor there, it’s just an annoyance going back and forth figuring out where to put the coupon, when there isn’t anywhere to put it!

Short of putting a big pop up which says this is not for buying files and only for development work, there is not a whole-lot else they can do, and again in the nicest possible way they really should not / do not have any responsibility to this.

There clearly have been a lot of people who misunderstood this offer, but it is not really misleading, more just that people either did not know about the studio or did not read the landing page.

@charlie4282 now I know what envato studio is, I’ve gone back and looked at the landing page, and agree with you, it is pretty clear it’s about the studio.

However, the info on the landing page about ‘handpicked designers…’ just cuts off below the fold on my laptop screen, so the signup form looks pretty self-contained on the white background.

I read the heading ‘Get $20 off your next Envato Studio order’ as in ‘Get $20 off orders from the guys at Envato’ in the same way WooThemes might refer to themselves as the ‘Woo Studio’.

It’s not intentionally misleading I agree, but it has proven to be confusing for others too.
