Is FTP upload speed limited?

I’m now uploading files to Envato server and the speed is only 50kB/s, but my connection should have over 300kB/s upload speed. My question is, if there is some speed limit for Envato servers?

I’m using Total Commander for the upload.

Just used Filezila FTP - the upload speed was about 2Mb/s. I use often FTP upload and the speed is almost the same every time.
