Well the withholding amount is taken from the item price, and in your example (which didnât have anything withheld, so Iâm assuming it was before it was âturned onâ) the item price is $5. 28% of $5 is $1.40, so whatever you got for that sale previously (which looks like $3.12), youâll now get $1.72. Thatâs on all sales.
If you fill out the W8 without a tax ID then youâll get 30% withheld, but only on US sales. If you fill out the W8 with a valid tax ID then youâll only get 10% withheld on US sales.

W-8 form is available under Tax Information on your profile setting page, or just follow this link. You can fill it over there instead of sending it via email to Envato.
