How do you get people to rate your items?

Hello.

I’ve been an author for 6 years now, and my items from 3-5 years ago all have around 3-10 ratings each, not a whole lot, but it’s something. However, as of 2 years ago, I haven’t received a single rating. The quality of my items has gone way up since I started, so I thought it’d make sense to get more ratings, but that hasn’t been the case at all. I don’t post items very often, only 28 in total, 10 of which have been posted within the last 2 years. I have a reminder to remember to rate in all of my items, but still nothing.

For those who do get ratings, what sort of things do you do that could help?

Hi! I’m not sure in which market you hang out, but for me as a CodeCanyon author, I just ask people in need of customer support.

As there’s always people in need of support no matter how good the product, I make it my mission to offer stellar support, if their issue has been resolved I kindly ask my clients to leave a rating if they feel like it ( no pressure! ). In my experience this results in more reviews/ratings.
