How are your sales going this Cyber Sale 2024?

Very bad! I have attached the analytics of one of my items. It didn’t get usual traffic!!
But, currently, it’s 50% OFF.

I don’t know they’re considering us or not. Many of our items are still selling on third-party websites. We’re hardly battling with them and removing contents by doing DMCA. Envato is getting 30% commission from us for every sale. Not getting visitors during sale time truly feels bad!

Gosh, I hope it increases in the next few days, because it is really low. :smiling_face_with_tear:

But for those of you who are authors of themes, plugins and other digital products, what is the solution to this? What do you think? Will anything really change at Envato?

Nothing new to add, there’s a huge discussion at the forum and everything has been said.

Don’t despair. Keep maintaining the products, we know that this will not be sustainable for long, one day everything will change and luckily our products will continue in good shape.

The way I see it it will shut down in a few moths/year/years… Elements will remain and in time Elements will die as well since all quality authors will be somewhere else…

Envato is already aware of the solution, as many authors have suggested it in this forum. Like many other authors here, I don’t understand why Envato is undermining its own venture. They have stopped marketing ThemeForest, CodeCanyon, and other marketplaces, focusing solely on Envato Elements.

Yes, I really appreciate the comments and insights, and there’s no denying that something is happening. And what do you think about Envato joining the so-called ‘B Corp Movement’, where they say they work to build an ‘inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy’? Could this be interfering?

Avada made 4k sales in a week. They usually make around 900–1k per week, so I’m sure they’re happy

I agree but why man, why are they doing this, is like you have a beautiful home and family and intentionally you destroy everything step by step… bad example I know but this is how I see it now!

Analyzing all the comments and related threads here, it seems Envato has entered ‘self-sabotage mode’, where authors, the supposed backbone of the marketplace, have been reduced to mere spectators of a predictable decline. Weak marketing, unfavorable commissions, and an unclear vision for the future only reinforce one thing: without structural changes and mutual respect, the fall isn’t a possibility, it’s a trajectory. Either this changes, or Envato risks becoming just another case study of ‘what not to do’. Agree?

This is already happening.

Still low I believe…

I’m glad that I didn’t bother to email my customers to purchase the items.

30 second youtube ad about Envato Elements Sale, just great

And Envato Market doesn’t even show up on google ads anymore…nice… keep it rolling, and you will loose all your authors in one day, not sure you care about that anymore…

Why not place the same banners for Envato Market on Elements?

Envato is now owned by BlackRock, and understanding how they influence not just global markets but the entire world helps shed light on what this is really about.

My previous message was flagged as off-topic. I don’t believe the topic was off-topic; it was relevant to the individuals currently in control of Envato and tied to the CEO’s own statements (referenced in the linked YouTube video). However, if you feel mentioning anything related to BlackRock makes it off-topic, feel free to remove the post.
