[Hard Rejected] HTML Template - Seeking Advice to Improve!

Hi Authors,

My HTML Coming Soon Template (Bridgex - Clean Business HTML Template) was hard rejected on ThemeForest.

Feedback:

The rejection mentioned that the design/functionality didn’t meet quality standards.

Request:

Can you check my [preview link] and share any advice on:

  1. Design trends and improvements?
  2. Code quality or functionality issues?
  3. Tips for better presentation?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,
ThinkFrontEnd

It’s not bad but has been done so many times before

I definitely would not call it a coming soon template - it’s far from that

@ThinkFrontend I agree with @charlie4282

A coming soon template is not the correct description as it has pages so it would qualify as a template I think.

I am (personally) never impressed with that stupid MagicMouse animation - a waste of time as far as I am concerned.

I think the coding looks clean and impressive.
I would like to see the option of a fixed header.

Clearly you have put a lot of thought and time into this project so don’t let this rejection put you off.

Hi,

Your template is loaded very fast. I like it.

But it has too many similar templates as this on ThemeForest. That is the big issue.

As Envato rules, you need to use the latest version of jQuery v3.7.1 to prevent security issues.

And you should use Bootstrap v5.3.5, it’s 2025 already.

Thanks a lot for checking it out and sharing your thoughts!

You’re absolutely right — this template isn’t a “Coming Soon” page. That was actually a mistake in the forum post where I asked for feedback. I had recently been working on a coming soon project, and the title got mixed up while posting here.

This template is meant to be a clean and modern business/corporate HTML site. I’ve also been working on some improvements based on early feedback and suggestions.

Appreciate your time and input — really helpful!

Thank you so much for taking the time to check it out and for sharing such thoughtful feedback!

You’re absolutely right — it’s not a coming soon template, and that was a mistake in the forum post title. The template actually includes multiple pages and is intended as a full business/corporate HTML theme. I’ll make sure to clarify that moving forward.

I hear you on the MagicMouse animation — it’s definitely a stylistic choice, and I understand it’s not for everyone. I’ll reconsider its use or at least offer it as an optional feature in future updates.

Great call on the fixed header! That’s something I’ll definitely include in the next iteration — it’s a useful enhancement.

Your encouragement truly means a lot. Rejections are tough, but comments like yours help keep the motivation up. Thanks again!

Hi, thank you so much for your kind words and for pointing out the positives — I really appreciate you noticing the performance aspect!

You’re absolutely right about the saturation issue on ThemeForest. That’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot, and for my next version, I’m planning to refresh the design direction to stand out more from the usual patterns.

Also, thanks a lot for the tech version heads-up. I’ll make sure to update the project to use:

  • jQuery v3.7.1 for security and stability,
  • Bootstrap v5.3.5 to keep things current and competitive.

These are really helpful notes, and your feedback means a lot as I improve and rework this.

The little circle that comes out with the mouse pointer, I think, should be removed. It offers absolutely nothing and distracts the user. Don’t use external libraries, it’s poorly written code, which burdens the page and makes it slower. Learn to do everything yourself, without needing external libraries.

I’ve removed the mouse cursor effect based on your suggestion — I understand that it can feel distracting and unnecessary. I also appreciate your point about performance and external libraries. Going forward, I’ll aim to implement more custom solutions with minimal dependencies to keep things clean and efficient.

Thanks again for taking the time to review!
