[Hard Rejected] HTML Template - Seeking Advice to Improve!

Hi authors,

My HTML Coming Soon Template (SCOB – Versatile Coming Soon Template) was hard rejected on ThemeForest.

About the Template:

  • Framework: Bootstrap 5
  • Features: 50+ designs, particle effects, countdown timer, video backgrounds, fully responsive.

Feedback:

The rejection mentioned that the design/functionality didn’t meet quality standards.

Request:

Can you check my preview link and share any advice on:

  1. Design trends and improvements?
  2. Code quality or functionality issues?
  3. Tips for better presentation?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,

It’s near on impossible to get pure coming soon templates approved now unless they bring something very very special and unique.

With respect there’s nothing here that couldn’t easily be found for free online. Plus the all CAPS text is not well executed, nor is having privacy or terms links that do not do anything

Thank you for the feedback! I understand the need for something truly unique in this market. I’ll work on enhancing the design, improving typography (especially the all-caps text), and fixing functional links. Your insights are invaluable, and I’ll focus on making the template stand out.

Thanks again!

Honestly, I would forget coming soon templates and focus on something more evolved and valuable

I think the last “Coming Soon HTML Template” was approved by Envato in 2023. The reason others are being rejected might be related to sales factors. Instead of focusing on an HTML template, why not develop it as a WordPress plugin or theme? Have you considered creating a WordPress-based plugin with features like scheduled maintenance mode and more?

Thank you for the honest advice. I’ll seriously consider shifting focus to more evolved and valuable projects. Your perspective is appreciated and gives me a lot to think about moving forward.

Thank you for the insight and suggestion! You make an excellent point—if the sales potential for HTML-based coming soon templates is declining, focusing on a WordPress plugin or theme with enhanced features could be a more viable option.

I’ll explore the idea of developing a WordPress-based solution, perhaps with advanced features like customizable maintenance mode, integrations, and unique design options. It’s definitely a more scalable and valuable direction.

Thanks again for sharing your perspective—it’s given me a lot to think about!

Aside from how misleading it is, how far off the necessary standards the design and execution is, and the fact that you cannot use bloated inline CSS, you have zero chance of approval when you are ripping off envato’s trademark.

I would be surprised if they will have you take it down regardless of submission to here.

Hi ThinkFrontEnd,

It seems Envato’s standards for “Coming Soon” templates have become stricter, possibly due to a shift in market demand. A better approach might be to reimagine your template as a WordPress plugin or theme. Including features like maintenance mode, countdown timers, and builder compatibility could make it more practical and appealing.

Exploring this direction could significantly improve your chances of success.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on my template. I genuinely appreciate your insights, as I’m striving to meet the high standards required for acceptance on ThemeForest.

I wanted to understand your concerns in more detail to ensure I address them effectively. Specifically:

  1. Misleading Design: Could you clarify which aspects of the design or execution you found misleading? Was it the overall presentation, specific features, or the way I described the functionality?
  2. Necessary Standards: I’d like to align my work with ThemeForest’s quality expectations. Are there specific areas—such as layout, typography, or responsiveness—that you think need improvement?
  3. Bloated Inline CSS: I understand inline CSS can be problematic. Could you point out particular instances or offer guidance on how I might restructure it to meet best practices?
  4. Trademark Concerns: Your comment about trademark infringement is especially concerning. Could you elaborate on what you found problematic? Was it related to naming, branding, or other elements that might unintentionally resemble Envato’s trademark?

Your feedback is invaluable, and I want to make the necessary changes to improve both the quality and compliance of my template. If you have any additional thoughts or suggestions, I’d greatly appreciate hearing them.

Thank you again for your time and help!

Those comments were related to @MR-PIXEL-PRO post above NOT your coming soon template

Thank you for clarifying that the comments were directed at another post. I appreciate you taking the time to respond and clear up the misunderstanding.

If you ever have feedback about my coming soon template or tips on how I can improve it, I’d be grateful to hear your thoughts. Constructive insights are always welcome as I work to refine and elevate my projects.

Thanks again, and I hope you have a great day!
