Gifting a license...?

If I wanted to send some tracks to a YouTube “promotional” channel to get a bit of “exposure” but have an exclusive account, does that mean the channel will need a license?

If so, how do I go about “gifting” a license to the channel?

I don’t know as much about Audiojungle as other marketplaces, so there may be different rules but for most items this is not allowed as an exclusive author regardless of license https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000471346-Can-I-offer-my-items-for-free-on-a-promotional-basis-

That’s annoying.

May have to switch to non exclusive but that’s a whopping cut they take when you do.:flushed:

Offering your item for free (which is not allowed) is not the same as using a promotional tool (which is allowed). I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t be able to freely submit your music to such a promotional channel.

You just have to make sure that the promotional channel doesn’t offer (or seem to offer) your music for free to its viewers/subscribers. They have to make it perfectly clear that your music is to be bought.

Well that’s a little more encouraging.
