Kanye West - Wolves (Balmain Campaign)

It’s happened. Kanye West has used an Envato item!

And it appears right at the beginning of the music video for his song Wolves - which is being used for French fashion house, Balmain’s new campaign.

RockfordMedia’s VideoHive item, “Moving Under Trees With Full Moon At Night” opens this stylish film noir inspired video which features - among other things - West and Kim Kardashian with what looks like tears streaming down their faces, as well as Balmain’s new season collection.

Performed by West and featuring Vic Mensa and vocals by Sia, there is no doubt that this is a big deal.

It’s gotten nearly hit 6 million hits on YouTube alone, it’s part of a globally respected fashion house’s ad campaign, and it means an Envato item has been touched by one of the most polarizing, yet creative figures of our generation.

Hats off to RockfordMedia.

Line Friends

Line is one of the most popular instant messaging platforms around, with over 600 million users worldwide.

And within the world of the app, they’ve developed a bunch of characters that are shown as stickers, but who also feature in the product’s ads. One of which features an Envato item.

Okay. So, it’s a little difficult to explain exactly what’s going on in this video. But from what I can gather, Choco - the female bear - is the sister of Brown - the brown bear. She goes over to his house and takes a selfie. They can’t decide what to watch on TV and then things turn into some sort of montage of all the selfies she’s been taking? Or is going to take? And it turns into some sort of reality TV show centred around her?

Look, for all I know this is a gripping drama that I’ve completely misinterpreted. But what I can tell you is that it’s been very popular on YouTube, it’s insanely cute, and from this weird selfie sequence onwards it’s using Envato Author, Music2Sync’s AudioJungle item, “Ultimate Fashion Electro” in the background.

So, yep.

Mascara - Megan Nicole (Official Music Video)

Singer/actress, Megan Nicole is using an Envato item in her latest music video.

The YouTube star - who came to fame posting covers on the video platform - has used AndySlatter’s AudioJungle track, “Western Hero” at the beginning of the video for her new song, Mascara.

It’s a pretty cool endorsement to have from a YouTuber with over 3 million subscribers. And this video alone - released in April 2016; featuring Nicole as some sort of office-worker/superhero fighting against bullies, robbers and office sexual harassment has gotten over 1 million views.

It’s all very PG with a good message, and the song is catchy and getting a lot of exposure.

So, it’s a big “well-done” to AndySlatter!

Mercy For Animals

Mercy for Animals - an international organization dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and compassionate food choices - has used an Envato item in one of their videos.

It’s not one for the faint of heart, showing quite distressing images indicating how animals are treated by the food industry, and it pleads with the viewers to think just that little more about where their meat comes from.

It uses ilovemedia-es’s AudioJungle item, “Sad Piano”. And it certainly seems like people are paying attention with nearly a million views on Facebook at the time of recording.

National Geographic Store Blog

And finally today the blog for the National Geographic Store is being powered by a ThemeForest item.

FlatLayers’, “Caress - A Comprehensive WordPress Theme” is slick and simple, and doing a great job of bringing the blog’s content to the fore.

It’s little wonder with items like ours why Nat Geo keep coming back for more.

Oh and if you don’t know what I’m on about, check out episode 1 of Envato Famous Five

And that’s this week’s Envato Famous Five!
