They’re not faked… he’s using an early version of Element V2 that includes real shadow casting.

The compositing and design parts are outstanding, but am I the only one who thinks that the transitions between the fast motion through the space and slow motion around the objects are too jerky?

I may have missed some announcement or communication, but it’s always been my understanding that shadows are only for V2. I could be wrong.
