When we launched way back in 2006, the total payments made to our young community amounted to only $2,784 and 19 cents. In 2007, that total jumped up significantly to $129,000, and in 2008 we hit our first major milestone – $1,000,000 in community payments. At the time, it was such a huge achievement!
In the subsequent years, as our creative community quickly grew, payments greatly increased. In 2010, there was $10m in payments. In 2013, we crossed the seemingly unreachable $100m mark. And this month we have hit the most significant milestone in the history of Envato – payments to our thriving community has exceeded a quarter of a billion dollars! Or in numerical terms, that’s $250,000,000.00!
Reflecting upon this monumental milestone, our Community Manager, Natalia Mandis, has said “we’re so proud of our community. Through their knowledge, talent and passion they’ve helped Envato grow to become the massive creative hub it is today.”
And nothing sums up this achievement better than the words of our CEO, Collis Ta’eed, “the community are the reason behind everything we do.”
