Hi
I have a related question, so i won’t open a new topic for it.
Can i use pictures from sites like - unsplash, pixabay, pexels - in the main file for a HTML template, or placeholders are mandatory ?
Quote from pixabay.com - "All images and videos on Pixabay are released free of copyrights under Creative Commons CC0. You may download, modify, distribute, and use them royalty free for anything you like, even in commercial applications. Attribution is not required."

I don’t do the themes, but I’m pretty sure I heard you had to use specific placeholders, rather than including actual images. But yes, from a copyright point of view, there would be nothing wrong with that… it’s just that it won’t comply with the Envato process.

In the demo it’s fine but I would always recommend using placeholders in the download and if necessary link in the description where the images can be found.

Many “free image sites” say it’s all good and license free but that they take make no guarantees nor take any responsibility so if something were to be wrong then it would be your problem.
